Helen Southgate is the Managing Director of Acceleration Partners UK. She has over 15 years of experience in the digital marketing sector working for high-growth companies. Helen previously served as Managing Director at affilinet, one of the largest European affiliate marketing networks and on the digital marketing team at Sky PLC. She is currently the Chair of the IAB Performance Marketing Council.

Affiliate Summit: Give us a snapshot into your session at Affiliate Summit Europe 2018.
Helen Southgate: ‘Influencer’ is the new buzzword in the digital space, clients want more of them, affiliates want to be them and networks are desperately trying to work with them. But are they really suited to the affiliate industry?
AS: How is your topic relevant to our industry?
HS: Influencers are affiliates. As the new buzzword, everyone is talking about them and the value they can add to a brands marketing strategy.
AS: What is the one thing you hope delegates get out of your session?
HS: A better understanding of how influencers can be used within the affiliate marketing space and what it means for the development of the channel.
AS: Why choose this event as your platform to voice your findings?
HS: It’s one of the few affiliate marketing focused events, and popular with brands, affiliates and networks.
AS: How do you plan on maximizing your time at the event?
HS: Meeting existing and new contacts, and attending as many of the sessions as I can during the two day event.
